Paryavaran Sena volunteers gifted saplings during a Maharashtra wedding. Ajay Krantikari, head of Paryavaran Sena, told TOI that the campaign has been expanded to other states and that people should gift saplings on auspicious occasions such as marriage and birthdays. We gifted Ajitesh and Shraddha Mishra a Maulshree sapling and told them about its many benefits while they were attending their Maharashtra marriage. He claimed that people from other states are appreciating this gesture and our efforts in encouraging people to gift saplings with a message that only trees can save the environment and human lives. Paryavaran Sena volunteers have launched Green Weddings and Green Gifts across the country with the goal of increasing the number of trees planted.
Krantikari stated that more than 5,000 saplings have been gifted at weddings, birthdays, and other events across UP, MP and Delhi, Maharashtra and Bihar, Rajasthan and Odisha. He said that whenever volunteers attend auspicious events, they always give a sapling.
