The desire to invest responsibly prompted the creation of the environmental and social governance (ESG), criteria. It can be difficult to quantify ESG performance because of the many factors and risks involved and the different metrics used in ESG ratings. The ESG performance of shipping and logistics sectors is therefore difficult to quantify.
