Expo in Shandong features vegetables grown in simulated spaces

A vegetable garden that simulates a space environment was unveiled at the 23rd China, (Shouguang), International Vegetable Science and Technology Expo and China, (Shouguang), International Vegetable Seed Industry Expo 2022.

The garden is reminiscent of two space capsules and simulates special space conditions like strong radiation, high vacuum, high gravity, and alternating magnet fields to grow vegetables.

Space cultivation mimics the nutrients plants need by using artificial sunlight, no soil cultivation, smart environment controls and other technologies.

The simulated space plantation also included vegetable seeds from space that were planted.
