WASHINGTON (Reuters), February 14th, 2019 – The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), announced Monday that it extended its target date for completing an environmental review of the proposed SpaceX Starship/Super Heavy program at Boca Chica in Texas to March 28.

The FAA previously set February 28 as its target date. The FAA pointed out that SpaceX may not receive a vehicle operator’s license until the environmental review has been completed.

SpaceX, Elon Musk’s space company, must also comply with FAA safety, risk, and financial responsibility requirements.
