A kite flying festival that was due to take place at Fort Royal Park, Worcester, was cancelled earlier due to bad weather. Lynn Denham, a city councillor, said that the Met Office yellow warning and forecasts of “an awful lot rain” had delayed organizers. The event may be held next weekend but the matter will be discussed, she said.
