The Las Vegas RaidersFriday’s separation with Dan Ventrelle, the team president, was posted. A brief statementOn social media, Ventrelle stated that he was gone and that no further comments would be made. Ventrelle shared his side of this story later Friday.

Ventrelle said that theLas Vegas Review-JournalHe was fired for reporting to the NFLMark Davis, the team owner, was not responding to concerns about a hostile working environment. Ventrelle stated that he confronted Davis regarding these issues. However, when Davis refused to respond, Ventrelle went to the NFL. On Friday, he sent the following statement to The Review-Journal:

“Today Mark Davis terminated me as President of Las Vegas Raiders. As General Counsel and President, I have dedicated nearly 18 years of my entire life to the Raiders’ success. I take this responsibility seriously. This is why I received multiple complaints from employees that Mark created hostile work environments and engaged in other possible misconduct. Mark was dismissive when confronted about these matters and didn’t show the necessary level of concern. This led me to inform the NFL about these issues and Mark’s inexcusable response. In retaliation for raising such concerns, I was fired soon after. I stand firm behind my decision to raise these issues to protect the organization’s female employees. I am committed to supporting the Raiders as well as the Las Vegas community where I call home. I have retained counsel and will not be commenting further at this point.

Brian McCarthy, League spokesperson, issued a statement ESPNThe NFL “recently became aware” of the allegations and takes them very seriously. We will quickly investigate the matter.”

Ventrelle was president of the Raiders for less than a year. He replaced Marc Badain last summer. The Review-Journal reached Davis to inquire about the allegations. Davis did not respond.Ventrelle will appreciate your pointed comments..

Davis stated, “I have heard about (Ventrelle’s) statement, but will not comment on it.” “The only thing that I want to make clear is that Dan Ventrelle wasn’t president of the Raiders. He was always the interim president. He was never elected president. The interim designation was used to determine if he would become the (full-time). president. I want to make it clear that he is not president of the Las Vegas Raiders. Never was. “I think that there is a misconception about that.”
