Grace Lutheran School offers a challenging curriculum within a nurturing environment

Grace Lutheran School, located at the corner Division & Bonnie Brae in River Forest, is open to children aged 3 – 8.

The curriculum blends rigorous academics with faith-based learning. Students are immersed in music, athletics, and visual arts through our robust arts and athletics program. Children learn from different points of view and develop compassion and creativity. We believe in giving children the opportunity to celebrate and discover diversity. Our school is a place where everyone feels at home.

Grace offers full-day kindergarten and morning classes for children aged three and four, along with an optional afternoon program.

A strong core curriculum is required for grades 1-8. The schools support environment and high expectations encourage students to achieve their potential. A resource teacher and part time reading specialist provide individual and small-group instruction.
Children who need additional support. Grace School students consistently outperform national averages on standardized testing, and Grace graduates are highly competitive at high schools in the area.

All interested participants in grades 5-8 can join sports teams. Track and cross-country teams are open to third and fourth graders. Extended care is available from 6 p.m. to before-school care opens at 7:15 a.m.

Grace School will host an open house for prospective families on Sunday January 30, from 1:00 to 2:2:30 p.m. This is an opportunity for parents of elementary- and preschool-aged children to tour the building, talk with teachers, the principal, as well as parents of current Grace students.
