The forest ecological environment where Siberian tigers live has been improved and maintained through the continuous promotion of national preservation projects over the past twenty years. This has resulted in Siberian tigers returning home to their habitat in Northeast China.
“Siberian tigers have come back again. Yang Zhongqi, CPPCC member and chief expert of Chinese Academy of Forestry, said that the scene of tigers roaring up the mountains has returned.
At the national parks in Northeast China’s Jilin and Heilongjiang provinces, the number of Siberian tigers has increased to 50, and 50 cubs have been discovered, Yang said, noting that the return of Siberian tigers is clear evidence of the important achievements of ecological civilization construction in China.
Siberian Tigers are the largest and most beautiful of the six tigers species. They live in the forests of Northeast China, Russia’s far east regions and are the largest and most beautiful. Yang says that the forest ecology of the tigers has been severely threatened by excessive deforestation, mining, and other human activities. Yang claims that the Siberian Tiger in China was almost extinct due to this.
Yang stated that the country has established five national parks and will create 40 more parks. The parks will be primarily focused on ecosystem conservation and biodiversity.
