JERUSALEM, March 1, (Xinhua), Israel launched Tuesday a 155-million dollar plan to improve environment in cities and villages in the country’s Arab sector.
According to the Israeli Ministry of Environmental Protection, the program will be focused on climate change and waste treatment.
According to the statement, for many years, residents in the Arab settlements have been suffering environmental pollution, which has a negative impact on their health and quality of life.
The statement contains data that shows significant gaps in waste treatment, recycling and renewable energy infrastructure in the Arab Sector compared to the national average.
