NEW YORK (CBSNewYork)Brooklyn College is the subject of a federal civil rights investigation, filed by several Jewish students.
The Louis D. Brandeis Center for Human Rights Under Law filed the complaint on behalf of students in the college’s mental health counseling program.

According to the claim, a number professors and students participated in the promotion of the narrative that all Jews were white and privileged and thus contribute to the systematic oppression and persecution of people of color.
Kenneth Marcus is the founder of Brandeis Center and spoke to Dave Carlin on CBS2 about the complaint.

He said that whatever people hate or distain, it is what they project onto Jews. So, there might be white racists who hate on Jews because they are people of color while progressive Americans will hate on Jews because they are white or hyper-white.
Brooklyn College is accused of failing to take prompt and effective action to end harassment.
Thursday afternoon, the college issued a statement denouncing all forms of antisemitism and stating that it would not tolerate it. The college did not comment on the ongoing investigations but stated that it was committed to working with the US Department of Education. The College is grateful for the important role that Jewish Americans played in the rich history and culture of the country, city, and campus.
