Judge rejects Biden administration’s massive Gulf of Mexico leasing sale, win for environmentalists

Scott Lauermann, a spokesperson for the American Petroleum Institute, called this decision disappointing. Erik Milito, president of National Ocean Industries Association, a trade group representing offshore oil and gas companies, called the administration to defend responsible offshore production in the United States and to take the necessary steps for continued leasing and energy production from U.S. Gulf of Mexico for the benefit of all Americans.
