Jute sticks are used by youth to combat plastic straws in an environment-friendly way

To achieve its vision of becoming an Upper-Middle-Income Country by 2031, Bangladesh must lead green growth and combat plastic pollution.

According to a World Bank statement: The National Action Plan for Sustainable Plastic Management has three goals: to recycle half of all plastics by 2025; single-use plastic by 90% by 2026; and to reduce plastic waste generation by 30% by 2030.

Fazlur Rahmans Go green Bangladesh also joined in the fight against plastic. Their primary goal is to find sustainable alternatives to plastic products, and to end the plastic crisis.

Go Green Bangladesh also makes bamboo water bottles, straws and trays, as well as chopping boards. Sonali Bag is also promoted by the organisation and made from jute fiber.

Fazlur Rahman explained their future plans and stated that they are currently working to recycle non-valuable plastic, cloth and cigarettes butts to make them valuable assets. We can solve the problem of plastic straws and make millions of dollars if we have the support of the people who care. He said that we need the support of environmentally conscious people to fight for a plastic-free world.
