This meeting takes place against the backdrop of opposition parties trying to put together an anti-BJP front with an eye towards the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. Sanjay Raut, a Shiv Sena MP, was also present at the meeting.
“Discussed many issues, there is a requirement for structural and/or policy changes in this country. We have reached agreement on nearly all issues. We will soon meet in Hyderabad or anywhere else to discuss future plans and come up with a common understanding. We condemn the misuse of central agencies in a very poor way. After meeting with Uddhav Thackery, Maharashtra Chief Minister, and other leaders, Rao stated that the central government should change its policy. They will suffer.
“You will soon see the positive results of our meeting. Uddhav Ji is invited to Telangana. He added that he would be meeting leaders from other parts the country as well.

Uddhav Thackeray expressed concern over the country’s “political environment.”
“A politics for vengeance at the lowest levels has been unleashed all across the country. Our Hindutva does not seek revenge. He said that today, the focus is on defaming others and extolling their achievements, while others are lying and have not done anything.”
Thackeray also stated that friendly relations should exist between states. He stated that Telangana shares more than 1000 km of border with Maharashtra and will be resolved. However, it may take some time.
The BJP made fun of Thackeray by asking Kirit Somaiya, party leader, if Thackeray had asked permission from Congress chief Sonia Gandhi to schedule the meeting with KCR.
“A similar meeting had occurred between West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee & Thackeray with an attempt noncongress non-BJP front. Somaiya stated that within a few hours, Shiv Sena had ruled her out of any alliance.

Mamata and MK Stalin expressed their interest in forming a front against the BJP. This is likely to continue after the results of the five-state assembly elections are announced.
Stalin had also stated that chief ministers of non NDA-ruled states would soon convene in Delhi.
