Lana took to Instagram She thanked fans for their birthday wishes and gave a brutally honest review of her time in WWE.
The former WWE star said she was brainwashed into leaving the toxic environment of WWE. She thanked her friends who still work for the company. She has remained focused on acting and modeling ever since she left WWE. She wrote the following:
We are so grateful for all your amazing #Birthday wishes! You can see my crazy past year by clicking here! When I reflect on the past year, the last few days have been so intense for me. From being on a Wrestlemania poster to having a match with @trinity_fatu at @Wrestlemania to filming the wildest reality show reboot @viacom_intl #SurrealLife Living in the house of ICONIC LEGENDS!!!!
@tamarbraxton thank you for helping me deal with my mental health & anxiety❤️! It is amazing that I have booked two movies in the past six months! On my birthday, I was filming an action movie in which I played an Assassin for @paramountplus. I was blowing up cars and kicking strong mens’ asses! It was a complete 180 from WWE wanting me to wear pink, have blonde locks, and have my ASS kicked! 😂I had the most amazing year with my sister and family because I finally had some time off & wasn’t on the road with #WWE 300 Days of the year.
@natbynature @tjwilson711 @yaonlylivvonce Thank you for believing in me, even when I was lacking confidence. I was able film and celebrate my birthday with actors I have looked up too for years. I am beyond grateful. I cannot believe how far my life has come in one year and how much I have been able to get rid of the toxic environment I worked in for 8+ years. It was my identity and self-worth that it defined. It can be difficult to change, friends, but if we refuse to let one person’s opinion determine our destiny, if we refuse to be placed in a box or society, if we keep the blinders on, and walk by faith, then our lives will be more than our wildest dreams.
You must have the courage to chase your BIG dreams. These dreams should be pursued passionately. A strong work ethic is essential. Be willing to learn. Take calculated risks. Be bold. When you make mistakes, take responsibility. It’s okay for mistakes to be made, so long as we learn from them. Lana’s last match occurred on Raw’s final episode in May 2021. She was fired in June.
