Earthjustice and League of Conservation Voters Education Fund(LCVEF) launched a five figure digital educational campaign this week to highlight the importance of the courts in protecting the environment in the District of Columbia as well as in 12 other states: Alaska (Arizona), Florida, Georgia and Maine), New Hampshire, North Carolina and Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina and South Carolina. The video ads run as preroll and via connected TV.

The Supreme Court is currently considering our ability to combat climate change, and hold polluting industries responsible. We are at a crucial moment for the environment and need good judges to uphold our environmental laws, and protect our access to courts. Democracy is all about equal justice under the law and protecting our rights, including our right for clean air and clean drinking water. We need judges who understand these rights and the vital role that the government plays in tackling climate change and protecting the public’s health. If you care about the environment, then you must also care about our courts as well as the judges who have the power to interpret our laws.
The stakes for the planet, the air we breathe and the water we drink are higher than ever. However, environmental laws can only be enforced by the same judges who make them.
