LSG vs MI: Mumbai Indians Must Keep Their Dressing Room In Good Condition

Pragyan Ojha

Pragyan Ojha, a former Indian spinner, said that Mumbai Indians should keep their dressing rooms clean despite suffering six consecutive losses in IPL 2022. The Rohit Sharma-led Mumbai Indians suffered an 18-run loss to Lucknow Super Giants(LSG) at the Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai.

Mumbai Indians beat its worst record of losing five matches in IPL 2014, UAE. LSG skipper KL Rahul’s magnificent century guided LSG to a creditable 199/4 in the first innings. In its response, MI could manage to put up 181/9 in a lacklustre fightback led by Dewald Brevis’ 13-ball 31.

It is crucial to understand how Mumbai Indians navigate their dressing room atmosphere: Pragyan Objha

Ojha, who played 38 games for Mumbai Indians in IPL said that the team management must ensure that there is no disruption to the dressing room atmosphere.

“It is important is how you navigate the dressing room atmosphere. I’m saying this because Mumbai Indians have always kept it good. They have lost six on the trot for the first time and I would like to stress that as a champion team, keep the dressing room environment in good shape,” Ojha said on Cricbuzz.

“I would like to add is when you have lost so many games, the big thing is their dressing room atmosphere brought them back. It’s vital to keep it healthy because there should be no differences in there,” he added.

Ojha also pointed to the fact that the Mumbai Indians think tank failed to place the right combination of players in the team. They must continue to ponder this issue if they are to turn things around in IPL2022.

“If there is even a little chance of a comeback by beating the odds, the dressing room environment must be good because you lose a game there, execution happens on the field. Winning and losing are within the dressing room,” Ojha said.

“It’s a massive wall and to break it, they have to ponder a lot. Mumbai Indians have tried everything. We have seen Unadkat play at number 7, today Fabian Allen. They have done several things without finding the right combination,” he added.

The next match between Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings will be held at Dr DY Patil Sports Academy, Navi Mumbai.
