Anthony Martial was given the confidence to bounce back from his Manchester United nightmare. He was assured that his difficulties were due to his “environment”.

After becoming increasingly isolated at Old Trafford due to a row with Ralf Rangnick, the Frenchman has now joined Sevilla on loan for the remainder of the season.

Martial did not disagree with United’s manager for the first time. He had previously argued with Jose Mourinho during a period when his problems on the field really started.

Many feel that Martial’s departure to Sevilla signals Martial’s retirement from United.

John Barnes, a former Liverpool legend, believes that Martial’s career could be re-started by the switch. This is just like what happened to Memphis Depay, ex-Man Utd flop.

Speak to BonusCodeBetsBarnes stated that it all comes down to the environment you play in as a professional footballer. He is a great player, which is why he was at Manchester United. But things didn’t work out for him.

Martial was a good player in the beginning, but he was inconsistent later on that led to his death. It’s similar to Memphis Depay’s situation at Manchester United. He has done well since then, so maybe the environment wasnt right for him.

Anthony Martial is not happy with his decision. However, Anthony Martial is young and wants to move on to a better club. Sevilla could be a great move for him, and his time at Manchester United shouldn’t be a reflection on him as an athlete.

Man Utd had their fair share during Martial’s seven-year tenure, which saw him under four different managers.

United beat out big competition to land Martial, a world record for a teenager in 2015. He started his new club with a bang under Louis Van Gaal’s tutelage.

Depay, who was purchased for 31m four months prior, but only lasted 18 months in Manchester before being sold by Lyon, was more than that.

Depay, now 27, was able to restart his career in France and has since moved to Barcelona.

Martial’s career has been hampered by a long-running dispute with Mourinho, where his manager publicly criticised him multiple times.

Martial had Ole Gunnar Solskjaer backing, but ultimately failed to deliver

Martial was looking for the turning point with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer arriving, but he failed in his role as United’s next great number nine as the goals dried up last year despite the Norwegian’s support.

Martial’s relationship with Rangnick was not easy. Martial was forced to deny claims that he refused to play in United’s recent fixture after being excluded from the matchday squad.

Martial’s agent had made it clear in December that Martial wanted to move elsewhere. Sevilla was ultimately chosen despite the interest from Barcelona and Juventus.

Martial may have decided to move to Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan stadium after a period of being in the shadows with Edinson Cavani, Cristiano Ronaldo, and Edinson Cavani.
