We are losing all the bees, butterflies, songbirds as well as the skinks and tree frogs that support them. We are witnessing an apocalypse unfold right in our backyards. It’s alarming and tragic and heartbreaking.

Everything I care about will be affected by a warming climate. If climate change continues, the breadbasket will be gone. What does that mean? It means more people are hungry. If you are concerned about racial injustice, you can look at the areas where the changing climate most impacts people or where pollution is dumped most often. This is the communities of color.

Writing a book can be lonely.
