UK Yamazaki Mazak at Mak 2022 has a new machine, easy controls, and a focus to environmentally friendly manufacturing.

Mazak, a machine-engineering company, will display a total nine machines and three automated systems at Mach. This will include Mazak’s UK trade show debut of the VCE-600 vertical machining center. The VCE is a machine with high-specification and competitive pricing. It features a large stroke Y-axis that allows for maximum space for workpieces or fixturing.
The QTE-300MSY SG is a compact turning center capable of high productivity. It can fit in any small machine shop. The QTE features a 695 mm swing diameter and milling capabilities, a Y-axis, and a second spindle.
The company is expanding its line of high-performance machines, including the VCN700 vertical machining center. It is the first of a new range of performance-line machine that delivers exceptional productivity and can perform dynamic milling operations.
The QTE Series machines are the first to be equipped by Smooth Ez, which is the latest generation Mazatrol CNC. Smooth Ez (pronounced easy), a portrait touch screen with a 15-inch display, combines three features Ez Machining Operation and Ez Setup to provide outstanding productivity, accuracy, and profitability.
Automation will also be a focus with the UK-built CV5500 5-axis machining centrum. It will feature an MA robot to provide a single source Mazak solutions for customers. The Optiplex 3015 Fiber III with a 10.0kW fiber resonator and high output laser resonator will represent laser technology.
The UK debut of the i-800 Neo, the latest generation of Mazaks highly successful Variaxis technology will also be made. The Variaxis i-800 Neo was designed to provide high-accuracy machining for extended periods. It has an extremely large machining area that can handle large workpieces and jigs. There are also a variety spindles that can be used to meet any industrial need.
Variaxis i-800 Neo is engineered to have a carbon footprint 22.7 per cent lower than its predecessor during its operational life.
Mach will highlight the company’s commitment to environmental protection with the UK rollout of its Go Green initiative, which combines lower machine CO and higher plant CO.2The technology can be used to track footprints and help machine users analyse, optimise and record their energy consumption. Smooth AX Energy Dashboards provide precise reporting of energy use for each machine component.
Mazak will also launch I-Connect, its secure customer portal. It offers advanced service offerings through digital connectivity. Mazak customers with a registered account will have access to the new portal. This portal will offer a host benefits, including remote machine diagnosis, monitoring, maintenance, parts ordering, professional training resources, and even parts ordering.
