“Why aren’t there any out-of-the-ordinary male athletes in the elite sports?” It’s not secure.. They don’t feel secure. Rapinoe stated that either they feel they’re going be abused by fans, kicked off teams, or have slurs thrown to them, whatever it may be. “So it’s unsafe, and until it’s safe, we won’t have any male players. It’s safer for women’s teams. I believe there’s a lot of camaraderie between us and a lot more people coming out. This makes it easier for everyone. But I would suggest that all parties, from the sporting directors to club owners to fans to all the players, agree.It’s your responsibility, too.”
