GREENVILLE (WILX), S.C. – To describe it as a hostile environment is an understatement.
As the Wildcats defeated Michigan State on Friday, Bon Secours Wellness Arena was over half full of Davidson fans. This made it a road match for the Spartans.
MSU thrived in this environment when it was most important.
Joey Hauser stated that the experience we had down here, as well as just coming out to play in such an environment, are memories that will last a lifetime.
He thrived the best, scoring 27 points more than his career high.
You must be proud of him. He’s been through so much. It is something that we all know, said Tom Izzo Head Coach. Many people jumped onto his bandwagon. As you know, I didn’t. It’s not a good idea to jump on someone’s bandwagon if you know they are working towards it. He brought it every day. He was as complete as any forward I’ve seen in a while, if you consider all the things he did.
Hauser began by taking his first eight shots.
He did not miss the first part.
Hauser said that offensively, this season I’ve been struggling, trying to let it all fly and not worry too much about missing shots. Tonight, I let it happen and good things happened.
Hauser and the Spartans are just one win away from winning this weekend.
I’m hungry for another one, that’s for sure. Hauser stated, “I am looking forward to the next game.
After their win over the Wildcats the Spartans are now invited to dance with Coach K (and the Duke Blue Devils)
It could be Mike Krzyzewski’s last game as head coaching.
