Minister of Environment Say Al asked the Department of Environment, community-rangers, and other relevant officers to improve the protection and conservation of wildlife sanctuary in the country.
Minister Sam Al made the statement on February 13, while he was inspecting management of natural resources in Oddar Meanchey.
The Minister also visited Prey Kulen Wildlife Sanctuary, Prohm TEP, and Sang Ruk Vorn Wildlife Sanctuary.
The Minister asked the Department of Environment, community rangers, protected area and other relevant authorities to continue working closely to improve the effectiveness of conservation and protection of the Sang Ruk Vorn Wildlife Sanctuary as well as protected areas, corridors, and corridors of Cambodia.
Minister Sam Al highlighted that conservation of natural resource has been linked with the creation of local economies through the improvement in community livelihoods through the promotion and development of ecotourism and animal husbandry.
It is worth noting that Oddar Meanchey has three protected area areas covering a total of 191,403 ha. As the Cambodian government joins the fight against global alert, the Government has intensified efforts to conserve the country’s forests.
