The Ministry of Environment and Oddar Meancheys Provincial Administration launched a campaign to reduce plastic bags and encourage the use of eco-friendly baskets to combat pollution.
The General Department of Environmental Knowledge and Information of Ministry of Environment organized this campaign on April 1. The campaign aims to reduce plastic bag use and promote the environment.
Representatives of Samraong City Hall, Provincial Department of Environment and other departments in the province attended the campaign ceremony, as did residents of Samraong City.
Di Rado, the Deputy Governor of Oddar Meanchey, expressed his support for the campaign that reduces plastic bags and promotes the use environmentally friendly baskets.
Khvay Atiya is the Undersecretary of State of Ministry of Environment. He stated that the campaign to reduce plastic bags and promote the environment would provide information as well new knowledge to people in Cambodia to reduce plastic waste.
