Ministry of Environment launches training course on reducing plastic waste

The Ministry of Environment hosted a training course on how to implement the four Rs of protecting the environment, including how to reduce plastic waste.

Kith Chan Krisna was the advisor to the Minister of Environment. The ceremony took place March 14. The ceremony was attended to by Huot Ha, the Deputy Governor of Phnom Penh and other officials from the Ministry of Environment.

Chan Krisna stated the importance of the current training as a joint action to reduce plastic waste to improve quality of life, clean living, and manage urban solid waste. He said that plastic waste is a problem worldwide, and Cambodia is no exception.

Participants will be able to share and disseminate additional knowledge in order to reduce plastic waste and promote solid waste management.

Chan Krisna hopes that everyone can implement the 4Rs (Reduce. Reuse. Recycle. and Recover) to promote waste reduction and environmental protection.
