New Madrid will host a ground breaking ceremony for a new facility that focuses on the environment.

NEW MADRID, Mo. (KFVS). A new facility that focuses on cleaning up the environment will be opening in New Madrid.

On Friday, February 18, 2018, the city will host a groundbreaking ceremony in partnership with Circular SynTech.

The company will create a new plant to convert trash and other wastes into renewable chemicals.

Circular SynTech claims that it will invest more than $90million in its initial capital and create more than 40 jobs, with plans to expand.

The 230-acre campus is planned to be built on the Highway 61.

The facility is expected open for business in the second half of this year.
