The NFL will be returning to an in-person Scouting Combine. However, it remains to see how many players will show and how many will actually take part.
Saturday’s announcement by the NFL Scouting Combine to draft prospects was that it will not allow combine participants to secure Combine venues during their entire time in Indianapolis. This is for their safety.
Additionally, the memo threatens disqualification and sending home any prospect who is in violation of the policy.
The announcement of the bubble environment comes ten days before the start the week-long combine. According to a source, agents are unhappy with the unilateral work conditions and are now mobilizing.
According to the memo the strict rules include fewer days of testing, shorter meals, customized meals, single-room accommodations and reduced testing. These rules are intended to improve player experience and protect players’ health and safety.
Players can have access to one medical support person (e.g. The combine allows players to have access to one medical support person (e.g. a trainer). When working with prospects, the individual must have been fully vaccinated and boosted for COVID-19.
Prospects and others attending the combine should cover their faces, but not necessarily.
The NFL Scouting Combine invited 324 potentials to Indianapolis.
