No civilisation can survive destroying environment: Suresh Heblikar | Mangaluru News

MANGALURU – No civilisation can survive if it destroys the environment. Suresh, an environmentalist and filmmaker, stated that skyscrapers are a grave threat to humanity.
He spoke as a chief guest at Art-exuberance Envibe on Wednesday, an intercollegiate national-level fest organized by Alvas College’s humanities department, Moodbidri.
He said that India has been destroying the environment to promote development. India’s metropolitan cities are not scientifically designed in the West. These cities emit toxic air and water, which can cause a variety of diseases.
Heblikar expressed concern about the environmental degradation and stated that, despite having the ability to amass wealth, humans cannot create even a drop. We only know 10% of the diversity. He lamented that water and food have been contaminated more than ever before.
Dr Mohan Alva, Alvas Education Foundation chairman, stated that the environment has suffered for many reasons.
