Pittman likes Florida Gators’ atmosphere

The Florida Gators sent out several tight-end offer this week. Staff is looking for a tight end for the Class 2023.

Randy Pittman, Florida State’s tight end, has committed (6-2-230, Lynn Haven FL. A. Crawford Mosley was on campus Saturday and enjoyed practice.

Pittman spoke of Florida’s practice saying that it was “amazing out there.” The pace, the way Coach was leading it. [Billy]Napier was moving everyone and giving coaching. He was teaching everyone.

Pittman had the opportunity to witness William Peagler, tight ends coach in action, for the first-time on Saturday.

He said that he was able to see me work with the tight ends while I was watching Peagler. Watch them do different drills and different types of blocks, zone block, read blocks, etc.

Peagler, Pittman also had an opportunity to speak in-depth after practice. They were able to discuss how he would fit in.

Pittman spoke of meeting with Peagler in his office afterward. It was great, we discussed offensive plays and strategies. I think they use me in their offense now, almost like an H-back. It’s very interesting.

Peagler made three offers for the position this week after staff noticed that they needed a tight end to the class. This information was relayed on Saturday to Pittman.

He admitted that it wasn’t anything uncomfortable during Peaglers pitch to the team. He said it was like this is how we do it, you can see this guy and we have an opening for you. You know what I mean. Coach Peagler said that they switched from a defensive to a tight end to fill the gap. They mentioned it to me.

Pittman said that he was still committed to Florida State after the visit. However, he said that he liked the feeling of Gainesville.

Pittman stated that the environment is what he most likes about Florida. I keep coming back to find out if this is the right place for me. I’m still trying to figure it all out.
