Prince WilliamFor his first official visit to the country, he arrived in the United Arab Emirates on 10 January.
His visit coincides to the UAE’s 50th Anniversary Year.
He began his trip in Abu Dhabi, where he met up with students from the British School Al Khubairat for a discussion about conservation.

The royal and children met at Jubail Mangrove park, where they planted seeds together. According to The MirrorHe told students, “You are the future.” Keep up the good works.
The park was established by Sheikh Khaled, Abu Dhabi’s Crown Prince. It will capture four times more carbon than rainforests, and it hopes to be a world-leading conservation centre of mangroves.

Mark Leppard, the school’s headmaster, told them The Mirror“The Prince introduced the children to the Prince as part of the global leaders’ programme. They all volunteer and follow the 20 global goals.
“This initiative is part of improving our local environment.
“They were excited and surprised, and they were thrilled to share their thoughts.”
Later in the day The Duke of CambridgeHe was given a tour by Expo 2020 Dubai, an environmental initiative where the UK will host its pavilion.
He was escorted to Dubai by Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed, Crown Prince of Dubai.
William, 39, was reunited during the visit with EarthShot Prize recipients, his own initiative to highlight the work of those who help conserve the environment.
The royal spoke at the expo and said that he is open to “out of the box” solutions in order to repair the planet for the forthcoming awards.
Prince William stated, “This year, we want to concentrate on tipping points which can accelerate change.” “Sectors like transport, fashion and construction.”
He said that they are looking to find solutions led by “women” and “indigenous people” who use “cutting-edge technology and new financial model which value nature.”
“And finally, they’re always on our lookout for wildcards, out-of-the-box solutions that have transformative power,” he said. They’re my favorite.
William will present five finalists from last year’s inaugural awards on stage, which include winners and runners-up, and introduce them to potential investors.
Prince William spoke out against fast fashion, its impact on the environment and the power consumers have when it is time to “decide where to purchase from, and only the best companies will do so.”
He called it a “decisive decade” at the moment.
Prince William stated that “if we do not act, by 2030, we will be speeding to increasingly devastating humanitarian and planetary crises as the result of our changing environment.”
“Or, we can act now to get on the right path to a planet that is repaired and regenerated, which will allow us to thrive for future generations.
“But, change isn’t happening fast enough or at a scale that we need.
“While momentum is growing and strides made at COP26 Glasgow are testament to it, we are still racing against the clock.”
Friday sees the return of the royal family to the UK.
