Protecting the environment would create a healthy atmosphere: Devarakonda MALA

Nalgonda:Ramavath Ravindra Kumar Naik (TRS district president) and Devarakonda MLA Ramavath Ravindra Kumar Naik (MLA) stressed Saturday the need to protect the environment to create a healthy environment.

Ravindra Kumar, speaking at an awareness program on waste management, was organized in the Devarakonda Municipality office as a part Azadi Ka Arit Mahostav. Ravindra Kumar stated that the State government had taken numerous measures to reduce pollution and to create a healthy atmosphere in both urban areas and rural areas. A dumping yard was also established in all the villages and towns in the state as part of the Pattanapragatthi and Palle Pragathi programs. For the implementation of plastic bags in the municipalities, it is important that everyone cooperates.

He reminded the house owners that safe drinking water was being provided under Mission Bhagiratha. He said that safe drinking water and a clean environment would play a crucial role in protecting public health. Devarakonda will be developed as a model community, he stated. A model dumping site would be built in six acres of the municipality.
