A group of around 100 protestors, many of whom were children, gathered at Prime Minister Xavier Bettel’s office in Luxembourg City to demand that the government do more against climate change.

The protest was organized by Greenpeace/Youth for Climate. It called for an end of the war in Ukraine as well as more green investments.

Last year, Luxembourg was struck by Record floods decimated several villages and townsExperts linked climate change to the aforementioned. This week, Environment Minister Carole Dieschbourg  warned that rising temperatures will put pressure on the country’s dwindling groundwater reserves.

The latest protestors against climate change were the latest in a string of demonstrations that have taken place over the past few months. March for International Women’s Day and a Protest against the War in Ukraine.
