LAHORE:Punjab University (WWF Pakistan) and World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF Pakistan) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to protect the environment and combat climate change.
According to the MoU, both parties will collaborate to promote research related projects pertaining to key practices WWF-Pakistan in order to minimize the impact of climate changes on environment and improve the lives of vulnerable people. On Monday, a ceremony took place at the PU Vice-Chancellors Office. Among those present were PU VC Prof. Dr Niaz Ahmad Akhter and Director General WWF Pakistan Hammad Naqi Khan, Manager Zohaib Jved Bhatti, Director External Links Dr Sobia Khurram, and others.
According to the MoU, WWF would expand its services to promote the themes and objectives of environment days while simultaneously engaging the parties concerned. Both organisations would work together in various areas of WWF Pakistan to conduct science-based studies, engage students for internships and thesis, seminars, workshops awareness campaigns, walks, and other activities.
Prof Niaz Ahmad addressed the ceremony and stated that PU would work with WWF Pakistan to provide support for research projects of mutual interests.
Results of PU MA and MSc Programmes: The Examinations Department at Punjab University (PU), has announced the results for various MA/MSc programs.
These exams include MA Diplomacy & Strategic Studies. The PU website www.pu.edu.pk has the complete results.
KEMU orientation. Monday’s Orientation Week and White Coat Ceremony were organized by King Edward Medical University. Former Principal of KEMC, Prof Khwaja Sadiq Husain, was the chief guest. Federal Tax Ombudsman, Dr Asif Mehmood Jah was the guest of honour and Secretary Specialised Healthcare Education and Medical Education Dr Ahmad Javed Qazi attended the event. The ceremony was hosted by Prof Khalid Masood Gondal, Vice-Chancellor of KEMU. Prof Bilquis Shabbir, Chairperson of the Department of Medicine, conducted the ceremony. Other guests included senior faculty, Deans and Directors, Registrars, Pro-VC, and others.
In his welcome address, Prof Khalid Masood Gondal (KEMU VC) congratulated students and parents on their achievements and landmarks in their career. He shared the story of 162 years’ worth of excellence at KEMU, including contributions to research, academics and service delivery, especially in COVID-19. The students were welcomed by Prof Saqib Saeed, Dean of KEMC.
