Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, MP, has promised Curtorim residents to save Goa from environmental destruction by creating jobs and scrapping coal hubs. Gandhi spoke at Curtorim to address a public gathering. He said that Congress is a secular party which works for all. Goa faces challenges in employment, and economic disaster has occurred under the BJP government. We want to guide Goa and get it back on the path of development and employment.”
“Chief Minister in Congress will listen to the public voice. We have not given tickets or given refuge to defectors, and we have respected the feelings of people. We provided new faces according to the wishes of people.” He added. Gandhi promised a 500-crore fund for employment generation. We propose to use our energy to make Goa an IT and Knowledge Hub. These concepts will be a boon for the area of employment.
The Congress leader also stated that the tourism sector in Goa was in worse shape and that it is important to work towards reviving the region for the benefit of the economy. Moreno Rebello was also present as the Curtorim candidate for Goa Assembly election. (ANI)
