WAYLAND MA Welcome to the February 14 edition of Monday Manuel. This edition highlights important events that are happening in seven Patch communities between Framingham & Worcester.
Here are the facts for the week of February 14th.
Wayland
Wayland residents will be able comment on a report outlining environmental cleanup efforts at the Alta River’s Edge development near the Boston Post Road. Comment made During the hearing on WednesdayMassDEP will receive the final draft of the cleanup program.
Worcester
Representatives from Clark University will seek permission to construct a new academic building on Hawthorne Street, measuring 70,000 sq.ft. The school’s media arts, computing, and design learning spaces would be housed in the new building. It will replace a parking lot.
Marlborough
The Marlborough City Council will meet Monday for the first meeting in a month. There’s lots to be thankful for. The agendaIncluding approval for a site plan to build the new Route 20 Starbucks, which has been in the works since September.
Milford
The Celebrate Milford festival will return in 2022 after a two-year absence due to the pandemic. The one-day spring festival is tentatively scheduled. May 14th, 2009. The Monday meeting of the Select Board will likely approve festival permits.
Natick
Stonegate Group, a local developer will be visiting the town Zoning Board of Appeals to give a public hearing on Tuesday regarding its plans for a 19-unit mixed use development along Summer Street. The building would replace the Kells brewery (previously). Barleycorn’s).
Sudbury
Are you looking for questions about local candidates in the 2022 Sudbury election campaign? The League of Women Voters of Sudbury has begun recording interviews with the candidates. They are also accepting questions from residents. Email your questions to [email protected] by 5 p.m. on Feb. 21.
Framingham
This week will see Shoppers World take the first steps towards a major renovation. Wednesday’s public hearing will be held by the Conservation Commission to discuss the demolition of Old Navy and Barnes & Noble portions of the shopping centre. A rebuild for a 45,000-square-foot grocery store can be started after those businesses have closed, possibly not until January next year.
