On June 11Th the Ridgefield Action Committee for the Environment (RACE) presents an open house event to showcase actions homeowners and builders can take to protect the environment and reduce their carbon footprint.
195 St. Johns Rd. Ridgefield:Trillium Architects will present new house construction. The house features a super-insulated envelope and a 15kW solar array that can provide all electricity needs. It also includes native and sustainable plants. The house is LEED Platinum, Passive House certified, and NetZero Status. Trillium Architects is a boutique architectural company that specializes in Passive House and Net-Zero new homes, additions, renovations, and other off-the-grid projects.
Two homes were retrofitted with energy-efficient technologies. The owners will be available to answer questions and assist others in adopting these technologies.
