Anne Franks betrayer is a new suspect
Anne Frank and her family were betrayed by the Nazis in August 1944. A cold case investigation revealed that Arnold van den Berghin, a Jewish notary, was the leading suspect. The note, which specifically names Van den Berghand, claims that he passed the information to the Nazis in an attempt to save his family.Anne and seven other Jews were found by the Nazis in August 1944 after they had been hiding for nearly two years in an annexabove a canalside warehouse in Amsterdam. Anne was deported and died in a concentration center at the age of 15.
