Environment minister Shahab Uddin contract Covid for second time


Md Shahab Uddin, minister for environment, forest and climate change

Md Shahab Uddin, climate change minister and environment minister, has tested positive for Covid-19.

He has now contracted the virus for the second time, the first being in August 2020.

On Wednesday, the minister was subject to RT-PCR testing at the Institute of Epidemiology, Disease Control and Research because he was experiencing symptoms of the virus.

His ministry released a statement confirming that the test result was positive.

According to the ministry, the minister is currently in isolation at his official residence.

The environment minister was admitted to Combined Military Hospital between August 12-20, 2020 in collaboration with Covid.
