Southeast Missouri Girl Scouts plant trees for the environment

CAPE GIRARDEAU MO. (KFVS), Girl Scouts of southeast Missouri are doing their part to save the earth.

Girl Scouts in Missouri have planted trees this month to help save the planet.

We spoke with Troop 71271 Girl Scouts and they said that they have planted a peach tree.

We dug the hole and planted it. Evie Brueckner said that it helps the Earth.

Pennie Brueckner stated that it helps the environment. People will live longer if they can breathe.

They claim that planting a tree and picking out trash have many benefits.

It provides more air and saves our community, so we can all remain healthy and safe from all the trash and stuff. It also helps us all breathe better, Navaya Moreland stated.

The green initiative encourages girls and women to get outside and give back.
