Weatherization Assistance Program Infrastructure Funds will increase household energy efficiency
WASHINGTON President Joe Biden (U.S. Department of Energy) Announcement on WednesdayNew funding of $3.16 billion through the Weatherization Assistance ProgramFor residential energy upgrades. The funds, which were passed as part the bipartisan infrastructure bill in November, are now open for applications from states, Native American Tribes, and territories. The funds will be used to retrofit low-income houses with more energy-efficient technologies such as insulation, air conditioning, and electric household appliances like induction stoves.
