Steven Guilbeault, Environment Minister, presents a new climate plan for Canada

Canada’s climate plan proposes that the oil-and-gas industry must cut greenhouse gas emissions by 40% from their current levels by 2030 in order to reach its new goals.

The House of Commons has heard Steven Guilbeault’s emissions reduction plan. It is a projection that electricity emissions will be almost negligible by the end of the decade, but that real progress will take place in the transportation sector.
