Environment Canada forecasting white Christmas for B.C.

UPDATE:Environment Canada has lifted the wind warning as of Thursday, at 2:15 pm.


It’s set to be a windy Thursday in London, Ont., and the surrounding area, according to a wind warning from Environment Canada.

Along with London, the warning includes Komoka, Parkhill, Strathroy, and eastern and western Middlesex County.

It was originally issued as an emergency weather statement. However, the statement was upgraded to a wind warning around 9:20 AM.

On Thursday morning, southwesterly winds could increase to 90 km/h with the passage a cold front.

Strong winds between 80 km/h to 90 km/h are possible throughout the morning and afternoon.

Environment Canada warns of potential power outages and other utility disruptions.

There’s also the risk of damage to buildings, loose objects being tossed or tree branches being broken.
