SHARJAH (United Arab Emirates), February 22, 2022–(BUSINESS WIREHH Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi is a Supreme Council Member and Ruler in Sharjah. He has stressed that Sharjah’s development projects are carefully planned and executed in a way that preserves the environment of the Central Region. This includes deserts, trees and plants, as well as animals, that the Emirate is keen on conserving. These remarks were made by the Sharjah Ruler after inaugurating Sharjah Safari on February 17. It is the world’s largest safari, outside of Africa. It is located in Al Dhaid’s Bardi reserve, and covers an area 8 kilometers.

Project Dh1 Billion

Major Projects in Central Region

The Sharjah Ruler pointed out that the Emirate is also implementing key projects in the Central Region such as Al Maleha, Al Dhaid Fort, and Al Bathaa Lake. These will host rowing competitions, and ensure water supply to the region. The Emirate also plans to develop other wildlife reserves and pastures in the region. He also mentioned Sharjah Sports City on the Sharjah Al Dhaid Road. This is being built with top-notch infrastructure and facilities to host various events, such as rowing and swimming.

The Ruler emphasized that Sharjah’s Emirate has been keen to preserve its heritage and values, as well as promoting its authentic identity. He urged all Emiratis, to take on their national responsibility, care for their families and children, and to be proud of their country and religion.

Heritage Preservation is essential

Visitors can explore the Sahel region’s deserts and grasslands, as well as the rich wildlife. More than 50,000 Animals

More than 50,000 animals, including 120 African species, will be found at Sharjah Safari. The black rhino is the most rare and important of all the animals. The Sharjah Safari also saw the planting of more than 100,000 African Acacia trees, both African and local species.

The Safari gives its visitors an integrated experience that allows them to discover the true colours, flavours, and cultures of Africa and its islands. They will be able to see the flamingos, other birds, Madagascar island, and Aldabra giant tortoise. They will also have the opportunity to visit an African village.
