Community Submission
The Newport Public Education Foundation was named a beneficiary in the Stop & Shop community bags program for May. This reusable bag program, which was launched in 2019, facilitates community support with a goal to make a positive difference in the communities where shoppers live or work.
The Stop & Shop’s Bellevue Avenue store leadership selected NPEF. The foundation will receive a donation of $1 every time a $2.50 community bag is purchased at this location between May 1 and 5, unless the customer has otherwise instructed the store through the giving tag attached.
You will find community bags at the checkout and on display in the store. We invite you all to buy a bag and spread the word about public education and the environment.
