Tampa Art & Poetry Contest engages youth in environmental stewardship

Tampa’s youth can have their artwork displayed throughout the city. The 3 R’s Art and Poetry contest is accepting submission now through February 4.

In its 17th year, the initiative aims to get youth involved in waste reduction and the importance recycling.

Students in third through 12th grades at Tampa’s elementary, middle, or high schools are eligible to participate. This includes homeschooled students who live within the Tampa City limits, and MacDonald Training Center students.

Students may submit one poem or artwork for the contest. The recycling collection truck will display the winning artwork for one year. The winning poetry will be displayed at Julian B. Lane Riverfront Park, downtown Tampa

For more information, or to submit artwork, please visit the Contest website.
