Apart from being a very popular dinosaur species, Tyrannosaurus Rex has been the only species of Tyrannosaurus to be identified since its description in 1905. To the delight of the palaeontology communities, a study has revealed that the ultimate apex predator, which roamed the Earth approximately 66,000,000 years ago, might actually have been three distinct species: T.rex, T.regina, and T. imperator.
