To combat screen fatigue, local school creates outdoor learning environment.

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Friday, a local school unveiled a new classroom to help students learn and battle screen fatigue.

Friday’s unveiling of the outdoor classroom by Myrtle Grove Christian School, Wilmington, was a highlight. The outdoor learning environment features a STEM lab, garden classroom, and a “mini farm”.

Myrtle Grove teaches preschoolers through eighth graders. It created an outdoor learning environment for students to foster good physical and psychological health, show real-world examples of science, and ease them back into in person learning after months of working online.
