Toronto is currently under a special weather warning because of strong winds.
Environment Canada warns of wind gusts between 80 and 90 km per hour that could cause power outages throughout the city.
“Moderate south winds gusting to 50 km/h will develop this AM. “Winds will shift to southwest and strengthen to up 90 km/h in afternoon with the passage a cold front,” the advisory from the national weather agency states. “Wind warnings could be issued for certain areas as the system approaches.”
Today’s forecast also includes showers and a high of 15 C.
Friday will be a day of flurries and warmer temperatures. The high temperature will reach 4 C.
