Company ranks No. 57 on the U.S. EPAs Fortune 500 List of green power users

Hormel Foods has joined the EPAs Green Power Partnership. It offsets more 53 million kilowatthours (kWh), which is 7% of its total energy needs. The company’s decision not to use green power promotes the voluntary market for such power and encourages the development of these sources.

The company’s 20 by 30 Challenge goals are similar to the previous set of sustainability goals Hormel Foods aimed at. The company also worked with experts in renewable energy to identify and implement off-site solar and wind projects as well as energy reduction and energy power projects.
