Upcoming Summit to Promote Environmental Stewardship

DENNIS C.A.R.E. (Creating a Responsible Environment) for Cape & Islands. The Center for Coastal Studies, Cape Cod Anti-Litter Coalition and the Cape Cod Chamber of Commerce are partnering to host Destination Stewardship – Its Everybody’s Business.

The spring summit will promote environmental sustainability on Thursday, April 7th from 8:30 am to 12:30pm at Cape Cinema in Dennis.

Gregory Miller, PhD, Executive Director for The Center for Responsible Travel will speak at the summit about the benefits of destination management in protecting the environment.

Julie Regan (Chief of External Affairs, Deputy Director of Tahoe Regional Planning Agency) will speak at the event. She’ll discuss the positive impact the Take Care Tahoe campaign had on Lake Tahoe and the programs adopted in Cape Cod.

Local business representatives will also be available to share their stories of success and challenges in sustainability with attendees.

The summit is part a bi-annual meeting that has been taking place since 2018.
