EL PASO COUNTY COLO. (KKTV). – A few members who make up the El Paso County Wildland Fire Management groupRecently, he resigned due to allegations of a hostile working environment. The El Paso County Sheriffs Office oversees Wildland Fire Management and claims that the information posted to a Facebook account was incorrect and unauthorized.

The team is comprised of highly-trained individuals who can be called 24/7 to assist with fire suppression efforts. The team has been in existence for 26 years and provides major mitigation efforts in the county and surrounding areas. The crew also assisted with the Black Forest Fire and Waldo Canyon Fire. It is not clear how many people quit and for what period. The sheriff’s office announced that they now have four employees and 15 volunteers after the resignations.
Social media announced the resignations on Friday afternoon.
They felt that the environment was hostile to volunteers, and that they no longer needed them or wanted. The Sheriff received a letter detailing their grievances. On Friday, someone who had access the EPC Wildland twitter account posted a tweet.
